Each year, the Litigation Section holds elections for open seats on its executive committee. On this page you will find information about the election process, how to run for an executive committee position, and other helpful information.

Election Information

NOTICE:

The Litigation Section Executive Committee were unable to hold an election for FY 2027.

Listed positions below are currently vacant, and will be available by appointment for those interested in serving on the Litigation Section Executive Committee. For more information about the section and its executive committee roles, please review the Section's bylaws. All positions begin Oct. 1, 2026 unless otherwise stated.

Chair: one-year position ending Sept. 30, 2027.

Chair-Elect: one-year position ending Sept. 30, 2027.

Secretary/Treasurer: one-year position ending Sept. 30, 2027.

At-Large Member: (2 positions vacant) three-year position ending Sept. 30, 2029.

Election Timeline

Interested in running for a position on the Litigation Section's Executive Committee? Here's a rough outline of the section's elections period.

• March — Open positions on the Executive Committee are posted on the Section's Elections page.
• March — Application Portal for candidates opens.
• April/May — Application Portal closes and the Section's Nominating Committee submits names for the ballot.
• June — Voting begins (approx. two weeks).
• June — Voting closes.
• July — The Section's Nominating Committee reaches out to winners of the election.
• July — Results are posted on the Section's Election page.
