Court Rules and Procedures Committee
The Court Rules and Procedures Committee studies and develops suggested amendments to designated sets of court rules on a regular cycle of review established by the Washington Supreme Court. It also responds to requests for comment from the Court on proposals developed by others. The committee performs the rules-study function outlined in General Rule 9 and reports its recommendations to WSBA's Board of Governors.

- The Committee will review the Rules of Appellate Procedure and the Rules for Appeal from Decisions of Courts of Limited Jurisdiction during the Oct. 1, 2024–Sept. 30, 2025 term. For more information, please see the review cycle established by the state Supreme Court.
- The Washington State Bar Association notifies members and the public of court rules that have been ordered for comment by the state Supreme Court. Please see Proposed Court Rules Amendments.

Pursuant to court order, the committee publicizes suggested rule changes for public comment before finalizing its recommendations. Members of the bar, bench, and public are encouraged to review these proposals and send comments to the committee. Please see Proposed Court Rules Amendments.
Suggested rule changes should be submitted to the Washington Supreme Court pursuant to the procedures set forth in GR 9(e); comments on published proposed rule changes should be submitted to the Court pursuant to GR 9(g). Please send courtesy copies of your submissions to:
