160 Candidates Pass Winter 2019 Washington State Bar Exam | April 13, 2019
SEATTLE, WA [April 13, 2019] — The Washington State Bar Association (WSBA) announced that 160 candidates passed the Uniform Bar Exam administered in February 2019.
Administered over a two-day period, the Exam is a substantive law exam for those interested in becoming licensed in Washington to practice law as a lawyer, and includes multiple choice, essay and performance questions.
The other required component of the Washington Bar Exam is an exam on professional responsibility (the Multistate Professional Responsibility Exam or MPRE). Completion of a separate online educational component with accompanying online exam addressing specific areas of Washington law (the Washington Law Component) is also required to qualify for admission.
The WSBA will recommend successful candidates who also have passed a character and fitness review and completed other prelicensing requirements to the Washington Supreme Court for entry of an order admitting them to the practice of law in Washington as a lawyer.
