Washington State Bar Association Offers Private Health Insurance Exchange for Members │ Oct. 15, 2018
Enrollment begins Nov. 1 for coverage beginning Jan. 1, 2019
SEATTLE [Oct. 15, 2018] – Effective immediately, the Washington State Bar Association (WSBA) has launched a private health insurance exchange designed to assist individual members and employer groups in securing health insurance coverage as part of the Bar’s member resources.
Member Benefits is the administrator of the WSBA Private Health Insurance Exchange, which offers a broad level of choice and concierge-level of support designed for individuals and families, and employer groups. Enrollment begins Nov. 1 for coverage beginning Jan. 1, 2019. Members can find more information and sign up at wsba.memberbenefits.com.
“With healthcare on the minds of many of our members, the Washington State Bar Association is proud to partner with Member Benefits to offer a private health insurance exchange,” said William D. Pickett, president of the WSBA. “We’re delighted to offer an option that fits the needs of solo and small firm practitioners, as well as employer groups.”
Initial offerings available to WSBA members include:
- Group Health Insurance (fully insured, self, and level-funded options)
- Individual Health Insurance
- Dental and Vision Insurance
- Long-Term Disability Insurance
- Term Life Insurance
WSBA members will receive special private exchange rates and have access to expert assistance from Member Benefits, a company with 30 years of benefits experience, including work with other bar associations across the country.
“It was clear our members were looking for another health insurance option, so we are addressing their needs by leveraging our 40,000 member pool,” said Pickett.
